We’ve been using Charlie now for a few years to keep on top of moles around our paddocks and keep using him as is always very reliable and a pleasure to deal with. Following a 2 year break we again had to give him a call with lots of activity from our furry little friends . He once again did a fabulous job, having to lay 23 traps but rewarded with 28 moles that even surprised him! Hopefully we’ll be clear again for another couple of years, but won’t have any hesitation calling Charlie again when our little friends do reappear!

I am the estate manager of a privately owned 100 acre estate in Wiltshire and we had moles big time. The estates grounds had always been plagued with mole hills but this year the little critters decided to take their operation to the next level. Things got so bad that on mow day which is twice a week we would fill an entire ton bag with scooped up mole hills from our 25 acres of lawns and park lands. Even for an 18 year old apprentice this became a serious task let alone for me.
Eventually the lady of the house and owner of the property agreed to us finding a way of dealing with our 'mountain' of a problem!
Of course her concerns were of the moles suffering and dying a gruesome death, obviously our moles did die. However Charlie's traps are extremely powerful and exceptionally well placed and every catch I saw had clearly died of an instant, fatal blow. I would find it very difficult to believe any of the creatures suffered a painful death.
Out of our 25 acres Charlie trapped 48 moles! Are lawns are now looking more beautiful than ever. Charlie was a pleasure to work with, he is extremely professional with high regard for the lives of the animals he traps. He is also fair when it come to pricing unlike a lot of the other cowboys which are out there.

We have been having a mole problem for some time and had exhausted time and money on mole deterrents with no success. I didn’t trust or want to go back to the previous Mole man we had in a number of years ago. He may not have actually been producing moles from his pocket but he wasn’t far off !!!
I found Charlie on a recommended mole catchers website and asked if he would mind taking a look at our mole problem. He contacted me next day and was in setting up traps the day after and that’s when the drama really started. We don’t have the largest plot, around an acre but were regularly getting mole hills each morning. Charlie caught our mole first day – always insisting that we have the opportunity to review the trap with him and see the how the trapping has worked. We then had a couple of quiet days before the “Garden that keeps giving” really kicked into action. We had 10 traps in place and day after day we were catching a new mole – on a couple of occasions even 2 in a day. Charlie would come back daily reset the traps and we would expect that we had caught them all until the next morning there was another mole in one of the traps. This went on until 19 moles were pulled out! Charlie always coming back with a smiling face to reset the traps and dispose of the caught mole. We are now 5 days clear – long may it continue & many thanks to Charlie for helping to save our garden this summer.

When faced with the problem of moles making a mess of the lawn I searched online for someone to deal with it. Straight away I liked the look of The Traditional Molecatcher rather than a general pest controller and the really informative website reinforced my view, along with all offer of a free site survey.
Charlie arrived to do the survey and seemed to quickly understand the situation, briefed me on it and proposed a way ahead including the likely results and all time and cost implications. I felt very well informed and confident in employing him.
My confidence was richly rewarded with an excellent service provided by Charlie and immediate results. He kept me fully informed and requested that I attend the viewing of the traps to see the results first hand, which I did. The result is four moles gone in a humane fashion and so far no more molehills, along with an education on moles.

We have approx. 2 acres of formal garden, directly adjacent to our paddock and moles have plagued us since we moved into the property six years ago, we’re happy for them stay in the paddock, but the mess they make to the lawn is too much! Charlie visited me after I had tried almost everything; moles drive you mad!
I had tried smoke bombs, various noice devices, windmills, bottles, buzzers. I even tried flooding them out with 6,000 litres of water in stored tanks. I sat for ages with a spade ready to whack it on the head. I set small fires down their holes, I was about to blow them up with butane gas, it was getting crazy. I set a couple of different types of trap. I had 26 new mole hills in 2 days and the place looked like the Somme battle field.
So I turned to drink. Then I turned to Charlie. He visited and within 3 days he did exactly what he said he would do for the agreed price.
Charlie’s traps are the correct strength spring, with a personally tuned trigger. He spent ages setting them with experience accuracy (he has been trapping since he was 9 years old) He was most unimpressed by my traps and showed me the reasons why no moles were caught.
The humane traps I had coming in the post would have been a slow tortured death for the moles (they need to eat loads and would have starved to death by the time I had checked them.) Charlie’s traps are set to kill instantly which comes after gaining years of experience, his mole knowledge is incredible.
So I wasted a lot of time and money trying to do it myself. I should have called in Charlie as soon as I became invaded.
Anyway 4 days later; day 1 set the traps, day 2 result 4 moles caught and more traps set elsewhere. Day 3 a further 2 moles caught, day 4 all clear no moles caught and no new mole hills.
I am out of rehab and talking to my family again all is forgiven.
